About the service
What is share valuation
Share valuation is an opinion on the market value of shares or a shareholding. The valuer uses financial, accounting, legal and technical data. You receive the opinion in a written report.
The value of shares depends on the value of the whole company. So the valuer first values the company and then works out what its shares are worth.
Korporacija Matininkai has valued shares since it started. We work under the Law on the Fundamentals of Property and Business Valuation, the methodology and the International and European Valuation Standards.
Calculation
How share value is calculated
The value of a shareholding can be shown with a simple scheme:
The company's net value is the business value minus its debts and liabilities on the valuation date. One share is valued by dividing the net value by the number of shares.
A smaller shareholding may be worth more or less than its share of the total. The valuer considers whether it gives control of the company.

- Bailiff orders are carried out
- Owners want to know what their shares are worth
We help shareholders across the country. Most companies we value are in the capital and in Kaunas.
Process
How the valuation works
- 01
Get in touch
Call or write to your nearest office. Tell us briefly what property you need valued and why.
- 02
Documents
Send the property and legal documents you have. The valuer will tell you if anything is missing.
- 03
Valuation
The valuer inspects the property, collects market data and works out the value.
- 04
Report
You receive a written valuation report that you can give to a bank or another institution.
The valuer analyses the company's financial statements, assets and liabilities. They assess the company's market and its prospects.
In a reorganisation we value the shares of all companies involved. This is how a fair exchange ratio is justified.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How is share valuation different from business valuation?
Business valuation shows what the whole business is worth. Share valuation deducts debts from that value and shows what the shares are worth.
Can you value a small shareholding?
Yes. We value whole shareholdings and small parts of them.
When must a share exchange ratio be justified?
When public or private limited companies merge or demerge. Shareholders then receive shares in the new company at the calculated ratio.
How much does a share valuation cost?
The price depends on the size of the company and the task. Contact us for a quote.
Will my information stay confidential?
Yes. We guarantee the confidentiality of the information you provide.
